We are looking for an

Embedded Developer at the PCI – Science Park in Aveiro

YOUR JOB:

Our company is seeking a talented Embedded Developer to contribute to the development of our audio over IP products. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing embedded software applications for our audio over IP solutions. You will also be involved in the verification of proposed designs through theoretical analysis and simulation, and in the execution of rapid software development and quick prototyping.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and specification of audio distribution and control systems
• Development of embedded software applications
• Verification of proposed designs through theoretical analysis and simulation
• Execution of rapid software development and quick prototyping
• Support internal and external development teams in debugging systems
• Contribute to the development of new Barix products on embedded Linux systems (Yocto, Python,

MQTT, C).

• Develop IoT prototypes based on Barix hardware and integrate it to cloud services
• Test the hardware and software of newly developed products

REQUIREMENTS:

• Programming skills are a must. Our preferred are Python, Yocto and C+/C++, but anyone able to learn one of those is welcome
• Basic knowledge in signal processing (DSP) concepts and experience in implementing DSP algorithms in embedded systems
• Familiarity with Linux-based embedded systems and experience in using open source libraries and tools for embedded software development
• Affinity to PCB design: The ability to understand schematics and basic soldering skills are a plus.
• Knowledge in web development (REST API, JavaScript) is a plus
• You are willing to learn new tools and technologies required to finish a project
• You have a “Can Do It” attitude and love to turn ideas into reality
